DMU is fortunate to have the only Sports Law elective in the Country and it recognises excellent performance in the module. Neil Head was a previous Senior Partner of Josiah Hincks, and acted for Leicester Tigers among other sports clubs. The Firm continues to act for the Tigers and many of its players and wider staff, as well as other sports teams in the County.

The Neil Head prize was won by Emily Ablitt. Steven Mather, Partner, presented the award.

Later in the day, Laurie, Emma Longstaff (now a Solicitor) and Charlie McEvoy (paralegal) all attended the DMU Graduation Ceremony. Laurie and Charlie both did their LPC full time at DMU. Emma Longstaff, meanwhile, did hers on a part-time basis while working through her training contract. Emma qualified as a solicitor at the beginning of December 2018.
