In 2020 we were awarded the NFU Tim Sells Legal Panel Excellence Award for our service to the farming industry. We were also voted Leicestershire Law Society’s Large Law Firm of the Year 2024.
We’re also honoured to be the only Solicitors practice in the region to be appointed to the National Farmers Union’s Legal Panel. 16 firms nationwide cover all of the various regions, with Josiah Hincks exclusively covering Leicestershire Northamptonshire and Rutland. Being on the NFU’s Legal Panel, and being reappointed to the panel in 2018, confirmed independently that our service and advice was “very good” (the top category). The Firm take independent verification and assessment seriously. It is why we have a number of accreditations including: We care about our clients. We’re passionate about helping them with whatever situation they face, and we care about getting results for them. We care about our team. We want them to feel appreciated, valued and supported at all times. We care about being the best Law Firm we can be. In all that we do we aim for excellence. We set high expectations and standards for our team in order that the service we provide to our clients is always excellent. We also strive to ensure that we are an excellent employer, taking care of our team and making sure that have all they need to help our clients. Respect is a core value and behaviour here at Josiah Hincks. At all times we show respect to our clients and to each other, always trying to see the situation from their perspective. Respect shouldn’t be a luxury, it should be standard practice. When you work with us you’re working with a team values the importance of respect. We’re a team and we believe that every individual has a really important part to play in helping us care for and help our clients. Whether you’re a fee earner, secretary, receptionist or support staff, you are crucial to the team and help make a difference. We can’t do what we do without every member of the team playing their part. We are a professional, established and reputable firm. We’ve been providing legal advice and support for nearly 95 years and we’re serious about getting results for our clients. To do so we remain professional at all times, taking time to consider the small details as well as the big picture. We’re available to help you. We know it’s important to our clients that we’re there for them when they call us, and so we strive to ensure that we are reachable, approachable and available. Legal matters can be highly important and often highly sensitive, so we know how important it is that we’re available. We like to think that we offer value for money and reasonable fees. You’ll see fees quoted on many of our pages but otherwise we’d invite you to speak to a member of the team to discuss your matter. We offer upfront and transparent pricing on all matters. We will inform you from the outset of our charges, whether on a fixed fee basis or on an hourly rate. We will also provide you with the best estimate of likely costs of the matter, along with the costs of any third party fees (known as disbursements) such as Land Registry, Court Fees or Experts. In litigation matters, we can also look at funding arrangements such as Conditional Fee Agreements (commonly known as “No Win No Fee” agreements), taking a percentage of recovery (called Damages Based Agreements) or matters funded by Legal Expenses Insurance whether through your home or business insurance. Our ethos in all matters is to provide direct advice that is tailored to your circumstances, not simply a list of options or leaving the decision with you. We hope to provide the kind of service you expect from your solicitor, but please tell us if we do not achieve that at any point. The Partners of the Firm take great pride and responsibility for the quality of work produced by the team, and supervision and training is core to our ongoing aim for excellence.
