Josiah Hincks Solicitors are delighted to today launch a whole new department concerning Business Defence.
It follows the appointment of local criminal law solicitor Daniel Howe, who has significant expertise in all types of crime matters. His background combined with Josiah Hincks reputation for providing excellent quality advice to businesses will help cement the new department as the “Best Defence for Your Business”.
The solicitors firm have created a dedicated website at www.businessdefencelaw.co.uk which sets out all of the types of work which Josiah Hincks can assist with. This ranges from Driving Prosecutions against Company Directors, to full blown regulatory investigations by authorities such as HMRC and Trading Standards.
Dan said: “I am really excited to be given the opportunity to build a whole new Department for a firm which has a great history in Leicestershire.”
Business Defence for so called corporate crime is a growing area of work and it is of vital importance to businesses that they are properly advised by an experienced solicitor. The consequences of prosecutions could be fatal for any company.
The Business Defence department will also cover all attacks on a business, including commercial matters and employee issues.
The firm’s Senior Partner, Andrew Eagle, said: “The launch of Business Defence Law underlines our growth plans and our mission to provide excellent quality legal advice with specialist and experienced staff. The firm did previously have a criminal department, which primarily dealt with Legal Aid matters, and was sold off. We feel that the addition of Business Defence complements our positioning in the market as a provider of quality commercial advice. We already act for a number of high profile local businesses, not least Leicester Tigers, for whom we already provided some strategic commercial advice on corporate crime matters. With the addition of Dan, we are now placed to provide a fully comprehensive service to our commercial clients”.
Dan Howe will be based in the Firm’s recently opened Market Harborough office, although will of course service clients throughout the County, regionally and nationally.
