Mesothelioma sufferers who cannot trace their former employers or employers’ insurers will be able to claim compensation once a new Bill has been enacted.
The Mesothelioma Bill will create a compensation fund to be financed by employers’ liability insurers and will come to the aid of those diagnosed with mesothelioma after 24 July 2012. A web portal for making claims will also be established.
