Omer completed his Law degree at Istanbul Kultur University in 2015 and obtained a Master’s degree (LL.M) in Employment Law from Bahcesehir University (Istanbul) in 2020. He worked as a qualified Solicitor in Turkey for over 8 years.
Before joining Josiah Hincks, Omer worked as a Senior Solicitor in Istanbul (Ciftci & Yilmaz Law Firm), advising both individual and corporate clients on a wide range of legal matters, including employment, commercial, and property law. He also has experience in property-related matters, including reviewing and drafting title deeds and lease agreements, as well as providing legal support throughout the property transaction process. In addition, Omer was involved in drafting and reviewing contracts and managing legal proceedings related to employment and commercial law, including advising on disputes and representing clients throughout the litigation process.
He is particularly interested in specialising in commercial law, and is currently preparing for the SQE1 exam, having already been granted an exemption from SQE2.
Omer is detail-oriented, highly adaptable and responsive to changing legal and business needs. He regularly updates his legal knowledge to stay current with developments in law.
