Jonathan, who is originally from Yorkshire studied for his degree at De Montfort University and, having then spent a year at the University of Law in Chester he returned to Leicester to begin his training. Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 and has specialised in Family Law since.
Jonathan has practised in Leicester and the county throughout his career and joined Josiah Hincks as a Partner in 2018. Over the years he has developed skills to enable him to advise constructively in complex situations.
Jonathan advises in relation to divorce, separation and the associated problems with regard to finances and children. He has assisted in resolving finances in high net worth cases and with overseas assets. In addition Jonathan has represented clients in international child abduction matters with successful returns of the children.
Jonathan is a member of Resolution and takes a conciliatory approach to resolving disputes where possible. He is also a qualified Collaborative Lawyer where matters are resolved without using the court process. Jonathan was also a past President of Leicestershire Law Society having been a committee member for many years.
