Legal Cashier

About the role:

We are seeking a Legal Cashier to manage the financial aspects of our legal practice. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal finance, although this is not essential. You should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

– Managing client and office accounts in compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules

– Processing payments, receipts, and transfers

– Reconciling bank statements

– Handling billing and ensuring timely payment of invoices

– Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers

– Managing petty cash ledgers

– Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

– Thorough understanding of SRA Accounts Rules

– Proficiency in legal accounting software

– Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

– Excellent organizational and time-management skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
