We have an opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor to join our team as head of the department.

Where?

You will be based predominantly in our Market Harborough office. However you will on occasions be required to travel to our other branch offices across Leicestershire.

What?

You will be assisting clients with all litigation matters including contract disputes, boundary disputes, negligence claims, bankruptcy issues, sales of goods claims and employment law. As head of department you will also be responsible for managing your team.

About the job and the firm

Here is a little bit of useful information about the job and about our firm.

We are looking to recruit a qualified solicitor to join our successful team. You must be familiar with boundary disputes, breach of contract disputes, negligence claims, advocacy at interim hearings preferred. Employment Law experience would be very useful, but is not a pre-requisite for the role. Ideally we are looking for someone with 8+years PQE and the desire for progression. As head of the Litigation department it will be your responsibility to manage your team and drive it forwards.

You will be based in our Market Harborough office, however from time to time you may be required to travel to any of our other four offices across Leicestershire for client or staff meetings. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

We are a Leicestershire firm and have been operating for over 90 years. Over recent months whilst some firms have sadly had to shrink and make redundancies, we are pleased that we have seen our workload and team grow. 

We currently act as the official club solicitors for Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, as well as acting as the NFU’s panel solicitors for Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. We also work closely with De Montfort University, Cambridge & Counties bank and a range of other high quality clients and agents across Leicestershire and the East Midlands.
