Steven qualified as a solicitor in 2008 after completing his Law degree (LLB) at De Montfort University, Leicester. He trained and practised at a firm of specialist commercial solicitors in Leicester. In 2011, Steven became an accredited legal mediator having trained at the London School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology (SPCP). Steven joined Josiah Hincks in August 2011.

With several years experience in commercial litigation, Steven acts for a wide range of commercial and private clients in all types of legal disputes, such as breach of contract, property disputes, intellectual property/IT disputes and company/partnership disputes.
Steven firmly believes that litigation should be the last alternative and encourages all his clients to consider alternative methods of dispute resolution, such as negotiation and mediation, from an early stage in all matters. However, Steven is by no means a pacifist and when required, Steven will adopt a robust approach to represent your best interests.
As a mediator, Steven provides commercial mediations to parties in litigation and is regularly asked by other solicitors and the Courts to act as mediator in their client’s disputes. Steven is a Certified Mediator with the National Mediators Database and is a panel mediator for the Association of Midlands Mediators.
Steven also deals with all Employment Law matters, from drafting contracts of employment, advising about redundancy, compromise agreements to advising in Employment Tribunal actions for unfair dismissal or discrimination.
